Business Overview

Vandra Pentecost is a conceptual figurative painter inspired by comparative religion, world culture and the subtleties and sensuality of the human spirit. Although drawing is her fist love, she creates images using a variety of traditional media and computer techniques. Using scanned life drawings and various software programs she created the Transitions suite depicting twelve images of sesonal change. In 2012 she will expand her figurative exploration by creating a body of sculptural works in clay and bronze casting.Vandra's award winning work has been shown in state and regional exhibits and galleries. In the 2007-08 Lilly Oncology on Canvas exhibition, her digital piece was chosen to hang in the international opening exhibit at the Royal College of Art in London, England, the US opening in NY, and traveled in the 2008 national tour.She is a member of The Indiana Artists Club, Portfolio, the Hoosier Salon, and the Indianapolis Art Center. where she is Drawing and Painting Department Head, an instructor of figure drawing and monitors several open studio life drawing classes weekly. She also attends the Thursday Herron Alumni Drawing Group.�Vandra is co-owner of Linder Design, a husband and wife team, specializing in large-scale public and private murals, illustration, graphic design and non-electric signage. In 2008 she was the creative director and technical consultant for the Lilly Day of Service Mural Project, working with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and Eli Lilly in partnership with Manual High School students to create five murals on the Monon Trail and three murals along Madison Avenue, for which the 1,230' wall has received the Guinness World Record for the longest paint by number muralVandra was creative director the 2009 Lilly Mural Project in partnership with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful which included mural sites on the D Loop by the Zoo working with the Key School students, two sites along Westfield Boulevard in Broad Ripple working with Broad Ripple HS, and the Morris Street west tunnels with Manual students. Also included were 20 interior and exterior murals for eight neighborhood community centers designed by Vandra; Brightwood, Concord, Southeast, Goodwin, Mary Rigg and Wm. Penn, LaShonna Bates Pool at School 46, Martin Luther King and the Indianapolis Zoo. Read more
