Losina Art Center is an established art school in San Diego, California. We welcome all levels - from absolute beginners to emerging artists, looking for accelerated training, creative environment and flexible attendance. We accept applicants year-round, from age 15 to adult. We provide College Portfolio training for college-bound teens and have one of the highest success rates in the nation. Professional Portfolio Program is created for artists committed to the goal of exhibiting and selling their work. Our teachers work with each student individually according to the student's personal learning style. University-level programs, unique curriculum based on the Losina Method, accelerated training, flexible enrollment, and the level of art quality that students produce made Losina Art Center one of San Diego's most progressive art education institutions. Ongoing classes and weekend workshops in beautiful San Diego in sunny California attract art students from other countries: Argentina, China, Russia, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and others. We train our students to become independent artists. Annual Membership enables them to create a body of work within one year. College Portfolio Program is designed to help young artists, including those who have no prior art exposure, to create a winning portfolio for submitting to art colleges and galleries (see portfolio examples). We offer Art Teacher Training, a certification program that allows the graduate to apply for employment in our company. The facility features a gallery of emerging artists. We organize art exhibitions where our students get exposure to art collectors and interior designers looking for original art. Our inventory consists of large format works on canvas and on paper in a variety of styles and subjects, representational to abstract.
